Prasad Thazhe Kootteri

I’m a drug discovery scientist actively engaged in developing novel approaches to small molecule therapeutics. My work centers on the identification, structural characterization, and validation of bioactive compounds with potential clinical relevance, contributing to early-stage pipeline development and translational research.
With hands-on expertise in protein biology, X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, computational medicinal chemistry, and synthetic chemistry, I specialize in integrating structural and functional data to inform rational drug design. I’m particularly focused on leveraging structure-based approaches and molecular modeling to accelerate hit identification and lead optimization.
My approach bridges experimental and computational disciplines, enabling efficient target validation and mechanism-of-action elucidation. I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments and am passionate about translating molecular insights into tangible therapeutic outcomes. Whether it’s solving complex binding interactions or optimizing compound libraries, I’m driven by the challenge of transforming scientific discovery into real-world impact.
